I Guess Its Time to Move on

This DEF just messed up my DAY

Chris Martin: 'Coldplay will split up next year'
Frontman says the band will call it a day before they get old

Coldplay's Chris Martin has suggested that he plans to split up the band at the end of 2009.

The frontman told the Daily Express that his decision was based on his view that bands should call it a day before they get too old – saying he wanted to go out with a blast by keeping as busy as possible until 2009 ends.

"I'm 31 now and I don't think that bands should keep going past 33," he said. "So, we're trying to pack in as much as possible. Up until the end of next year, we'll just go for it in every sense.

"I don't believe in time off. We've still got most of our hair, we can still fit into our musical trousers and we've got to make the most of that."

Almost Forgot How Much i Love this Song

Almost forgot how MUCH i love this song

how To disappear completely-Radiohead

Artist Spotlight: Mr Hudson

some of yall may have heard them on Kanye's Paranoid but Mr Hudson & The Library are a band based in London, whose members hail from both that city and Birmingham. This duality was the inspiration for the title of their debut album A Tale of Two Cities, which was released on 5 March 2007. They are signed to music producer Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label & Mercury Records.
The band first came to prominence after featuring on Later with Jools Holland on 8 December 2006.[2]
They also received airplay from Dermot O'Leary on his BBC Radio 2 show.
In 2007 embarked on a tour through 12 British libraries, and also supported Amy Winehouse on her tour, along with Paulo Nutini, Mika and Groove Armada and went on their own headlining tour.[3]
During the Summer of 2007 they appeared at several UK festivals, such as Glastonbury, T in the Park, The Big Chill, V Festival and Bestival.
On October 19 2007, the band played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff in support of The Police. They will also support Kanye West on his Europe leg of his Glow in the Dark Tour.
On 11 November, 'There Will Be Tears' was given its first UK radio air-play on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show as 'The Hottest Record in the World Right Now'. Mr Hudson's new album 'Now I See' is set for release in 2009

One of My favorite verses this year

With the same sword they knight you
They gone goodnight you with
Shit...
Thats only the half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me aks michael
see martin see malcolm
See biggie see pac see success and its outcome
See jesus see judas see ceaser see. brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide it's a suicide
If you should see
Prepare to be crucified
Uhh...
Media medals mix who you settle
Every step you take
They remind you you ghetto
So its tough being bobby brown
To be bobby then
You have to be bobby now
And the quesiotn is
Is to have had and lost
Better than not having at all
Because i'm...

HIp Hop At Its FInest

Taken after the GITD tour London Cypher with De la Soul, Mos Def, Kid Cudi. Nas. Kanye . Hip Hop is ALive

Artist Spotlight: Jay Electronica

Some of yall may know him as erykah badu'ss boyfriend of 4 years but Jay Electronica has always been a gifted writer producer rapper GENIUS...my new favourite rapper as of now Exhibit A down below(produced by Just Blaze

Jay Electronica (Je’Ri Allah) (b. circa 1977) is a rapper and producer known for his use of percussionless film soundtracks as a background for raps, his abstract lyrical style, and his associations with Erykah Badu, Just Blaze and Nas. He produced track one, "Queens Get the Money", on the 2008 Nas album Untitled. The unconventional nature of much of his music, and the lack of conventional release methods for that music, has since 2007 made him the object of much attention. He is perhaps best known for the piece of music Act 1: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge).

Not Gonna lie this song Grew on Me

Black Milk tronic =ILL

"His new album "Tronic" shows that Black has grown tremendously as a producer, as he's adopted more live instrumentation and is introducing more complex arrangement than his previous sample-heavy work. He also shows marked improvement as an emcee, and carries most of the album himself with only 3 guest verses on the entire album (from emcee royalty Pharoahe Monch, Royce Da 5'9", and Sean Price). Not even two years removed from his breakthrough release, Black Milk proves on "Tronic" that not only is he growing as an artist, but hip hop music as a genre still has room to grow."

Artist spotlight: Muhsinah

yea i promised yall on my last Artist Spotlight( Foreign Exchange) that we were gonna get into this Talented artist right here..
Muhsinah

taken from her own website..: some tracks below

Muhsinah
Pronounced [mu•sē•nə] - Singer, producer, vigilante, lover, dreamer.
Having landed on the musical radar like some kind of a phantom battleship, this Washington D.C. native continues to fires away at us, sinking nay-sayers and making a name for herself at a rate which some might consider alarming. Appearing on a slew of independent releases this year, Muhsinah has earned each and every title that’s been thrown her way- engineer/producer/composer/singer/songwriter/arranger/inspiration and the like. Contrary to popular misconception, Muhsinah was not dropped off on this planet by some enigmatic cosmic force; she hitched a ride on her own star.
Incontrovertibly born a slave to the rhythm, this classically trained pianist has spent countless hours honing her skills, banging on velocity sensitive pads and brushing the dust from neatly stacked records; well worn relics, left behind from her mother’s days as a dj. With influences spanning from classical to psychedelic, jazz to world and back, the freshly transplanted Brooklyn resident has gained a newfound appreciation for space and the sound within the space.
day.break - The official debut from the 24 year old phenom, is a culmination of these sounds. Entirely self-produced, day.break is in a sense a heartfelt homage to her inspirations, filled with thoughtful compositions and inspired wordplay. Often times, snatching inspiration right out of the air, Muhsinah employs whatever sonic element she sees fit to complete her hip hop braised, soul compositions which appear to fall perfectly on the tastier side of experimental.
“A.M.” is our introduction to day.break. With it’s swirling harp solo, reminiscent of jazz great Alice Coltrane, Muhsinah’s layers her signature reverse vocal like a golden short-stack luring us to a dream-like state where are handed this breakfast in bed… which is swiftly snatched from under our chins by a morning alarm. We are awakened to “Reconstrut”, taken from day.break bonus track, “Reconstruction”, a remix of “Construction” from Muhsinah’s self-released - The Oscillations EP of 2005.
It is at this point that Muhsinah’s growth as an artist should be marked, as she exhibits her ability to reinvision “classic hip hop” as “progressive future soul”. Leaving behind the key elements the made “Construction” a song adored by fans across the board, she manages to float ethereal vocals over rotund basslines and Rhodes-like roads in a way that makes the new version one to be adored on it’s own; all the while maintaining the songs proactive sentiment. It gets up and out, and sets the stage for everything that follows.
With tracks like “Discovery”, “Gogh” and “Only and Always” Muhsinah’s knack for evoking a head-nod seems almost intrinsic; all the while, her overall choice of words and expressions leaves her hovering somewhere between that of a self-indulgent flower-child and post-modern idealist.
In a matter of minutes the listener is auto-magically made privy to the events and experiences that brought her to this point and they are seduced. Perhaps that’s why those who learned the proper pronunciation of her name, speak it with such conviction. In a day and age where digital mediums are king, Muhsinah’s mp3s are treated less like currency and more like precious stones, used to adorn pocket players the world over like badges of honor, or tribal markings. With a name that translates to “doer of good deeds” it’s no wonder Muhsinah is unwittingly saving music, a noble deed indeed.

So coppin These

ving already seen some previews of their collaborative efforts with the like of Kangol, Head Porter, Levi’s and Visvim we get another look into the special product being marketed for the Hi & Lo event. Takashi Murakami features his signature flower print artwork on a pair of Visvim’s Kiefer Hi co-branded with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design. Along with the shoes we get a look at a set of t-shirts designed by Fujiwara as well. The collection is scheduled to release at KaiKai Kiki during the opening of the “Hi & Lo” exhibition October 31st, 2008.

Been a While

sorry guys i know its been a while school and life have all both been pretty hectic..But im gonna leave yall with this this song definately defines my current state of mind right now cause .. relationships often go sour and shit happens..

Song down Below

right under my feet

There's air
Made of bricks
Pulls me down
Turns me weak
For you
I find myself
Repeating like
A broken tune
And I'm forever
Excusing
Your intentions
And I give in
To my pretendings
Which forgive you
Each time
Without me knowing
They melt my heart
To stone

[Chorus:]
And I hear your words
That I made up
You say my name
Like there could be an us
I best tidy up my head
I'm the only one in love
I'm the only one in love

Each and every time
I turn around to leave
I feel my heart
Begin to burst
And bleed
So desperately
I try to link it
With my head
But instead
I fall back
To my knees
As you tear your way
Right through me
I forgive you
Once again
Without me knowing
You've burnt
My heart to stone

(Chorus)

Why do you
Steal my hand
Whenever
I'm standing
My own ground
You build me up
Then leave me dead

Well

(Chorus)

Basnky Legal???? about time

as some of you might know. street artist Bansky is becoming on of my favourite artists not that im into art or anything but the dude is ILL and recently he was given permission by the officials of new york to Constructively Vandalize ( are u happy jen) the city

taken from hypebeast,com:
Actively making his mark on New York with not only legally-comissioned billboards but a mock pet store funded out of his own pocket, a second series billboard was recently created. This time on Houston & McDougall, the billboard painted by Colossal Media on behalf of Banksy features the familiar rat motif with the statement “There’s no such thing as good publicity…” with the small reference to Fox News in the bottom corner

and for those of you who are new to bansky here are some more of his works and yes he did all of this illegally without getting caught and the coolest thing about dude is no one knows who he really is ..Genius..

Evolver Review

John Legend - Evolver Review
Boy has John Legend come a long way since his debut album "Get Lifted" . Two platinum albums later aswell as Grammy awards and he now moves onto the next chapter in his career. his Current single "Green Light" with Andre 3000 has been making it's way slowy up the charts peaking to #44 on the Billboard Hot 100. As for the album John wanted to take the album in a diffrent direction and that is exactly what he delivered. He hasn't completely left the sound that his fans have all grown to love but brings a more morden dance feel to many of the tracks. Being a big fan of his last two albums I can definitely appreciate the changeThe album starts out with "good morning" a slow synth heavy intro that kinda sets the tone for the direction of the album. then we jump into "green light" which personally was very suspect until 3k hopped on the verse mediocre song ,ridiculous verse from 3000. next in typical G.O.O.D fashion we have "its over" a track from the lv don himself kanye reminiscent of "number 1" off "get Lifted" . the song as a whole is a great track but ONCE again kanyes autotune killed it for me. Next we have a string of three tracks "Everybody knows" ."Quickly" and "Cross the Line" which Are the highest points of the album JL pulls no punches as he croons with epic I I I I Is on cross the line. jl then takes us through a slew of filler tracks excuse the harshness but YES filler tracks with the exception of "satisfaction" until He Blows our eradrums off with "If Your Out there" a powerful track thats brings the love i had for Legend on Get Lifted back...... all in all its still a good album . The man can do no wrong in my book so deff check out and BUY YOUR COPY OCTOBER 28TH!!

Verdict:
8/10

1. Good Morning (Intro)
2. Green Light (Featuring Andre 3000)
3. It's Over (Featuring Kanye West)
4. Everybody Knows
5. Quickly (Featuring Brandy)
6. Cross The Line
7. No Other Love (Featuring Estelle)
8. This Time
9. Satisfaction
10. Take Me Away
11. Good Morning
12. I Love, You Love
13. If You're Out There
14. Can't Be My Lover *Bonus

THere Is a Light

My State of Mind

i dont think one can truely grasp the emotion of this track until they hav read it so here it is

note:song is Below lyrics

I Never knew a luh, luh-luh, a love like this
Gotta be somethin for me to write this
Queen, I ain't seen you in a minute
Wrote this letter, and finally decide to send it
Signed sealed delivered for us to grow together
Love has no limit, let's spend it slow forever
I know your heart is weathered by what studs did to you
I ain't gon' assault em cause I probably did it too
Because of you, feelings I handle with care
Some niggaz recognize the light but they can't handle the glare
You know I ain't the type to walk around with matchin shirts
If relationship is effort I will match your work
I wanna be the one to make you happiest, it hurts you the most
They say the end is near, it's important that we close..
.. to the most, high
Regardless of what happens on Him lets REly

eah.. yo, yo, check it
It's kinda fresh you listen to more than hip-hop
and I can catch you in the mix from beauty to thrift shop
Plus you ship hop when it's time to, thinkin you fresh
Suggestin beats I should rhyme to
At times when I'm lost I try to find you
You know to give me space when it's time to
My heart's dictionary defines you, as love and happiness
Truthfully it's hard tryin to practice abstinence
The time we committed love it was real good
Had to be for me to arrive and it still feel good
I know the sex ain't gon' keep you, but as my equal
it's how I must treat you
As my reflection in light I'ma lead you
And whatever's right, I'ma feed you
Ticka tah, ticka tah, ticka ticka tickah
Yo I tell you the rest when I see you, peace

There are times.. when you'll need someone..
I will be by your side..
There is a light, that shines,
special for you, and me..

(I'll) take my chances.. before they pass..
.. pass me by, oh darling..
You need to look at the other side..
You'll agree..

LRG x Wale x 9th Wonder-Back to the Feature mixtape

Wale ft. Skyzoo - 5 Minutes - http://www.zshare.net/audio/2030348217e79b39

Info

“Its not as difficult. A lot of the stuff that’s going to be on it is out already. I think’s it going to be a dope look and it goings to be real hip-hop. Its going to be some of my new stuff or old stuff with a new verse. It’s not necessarily a Best Of but you can kind of perceive it as that. It’s going to be a couple of older joints with new people on it. It’s going to be the favorites.” - Wale

"What you will soon discover about the Back To The Feature Mixtape is that not only do we have ridiculous features on there, but 9th took your favorite rapper’s favorite songs that you probably didn’t even know had samples in it and flipped them. Man I am almost anticipating this as much as I am Wale’s album."
