ITS ABOUT TIME

taken frm hypetrak.com

In the 8 plus years since ‘Since I Left You’ came out, Jay Z has released The Blueprint, The Blueprint 2, The Black Album, retired and then released Kingdom Come and American Gangster. For an Avalanches fan it has naturally been a long, long time waiting for a follow up to their classic debut. Well as we reported in July, the group themselves posted on their myspace that they were putting the finishing touches on the follow-up, but now it looks like the new album is complete and that they have actually handed in the disc. As reported on the Avalanches forum, it appears that in December, the head of Modular records, Steve Pavlovic, told JJJ radio in Sydney that the group was to hand in the album on Christmas Day. Here’s hoping for a quick and tidy sample clearance process (good luck). But if history has told us anything it’s that Jay Z will probably have released The Blueprint 3 before any new Avalanches drops.
